Grooveria is a musical collective known for its dance versions of MPB classics through refined arrangements, reaching the same
time a varied and demanding public. Tuto Ferraz is the central point of this collective. The drummer, producer, arranger and also one of the vocalists
of the group, was born in a family where the music was ubiquitous, and from an early age came in contact with Jazz, MPB, and world pop music.
Perhaps for this very reason, Grooveria has in its DNA a mutable cauldron of styles and collaborators from all parts of Brazil.
Talented musicians with their extensive musical baggage help to build a unique sonority over the arrangements and conceptions of the collective leader. Another characteristic of the collective is its role as agglutinator, creating new partnerships with established talents and opening space for new talents, who would then become consecrated.
In 2005, her first CD, "# 1" aired on major FM stations throughout Brazil with her well-known version of "Com Que Roupa" by Noel Rosa and had her first original "Nada Mal", included in the compilation called Soul Brasil vol. 1, made by Free Sound. The CD also counts on talents like, Toninho Horta, Max de Castro, Jair Oliveira, Paula Lima, Rappin'Hood, among others.
In 2009, Grooveria's first live CD / DVD, distributed by Universal Music, reached the top 20 in sales for seven weeks, reaching 12th place in the 5th week. The DVD features longtime Tuto partners such as Seu Jorge and Max de Castro.
In 2010, the Collective premiered on European stages, playing for a vibrant audience of 3,000 people at the Azore Festival in August in the Azores and at the Harlem Jazz Club, and the Brazil Day Festival in Barcelona for 9,000 people. The sound of Grooveria caught the attention of the media in Portugal and Spain, with favorable reviews, interviews for newspapers, radio, TV shows and videos on music sites, staying on the cover of Myspace Portugal for almost a month.
Currently the Collective is in the production stage of its third album, second in the studio, where the focus on the compositions intensified, and songs like "Vim" and "Eu quero ver" are already known by its growing public of 50 thousand followers in all world in its fan page on Facebook. In the disc, new partnerships are with other already consolidated and names like Fernanda Abreu and the keyboard player Renato Neto, who played 11 years in the band of Prince already are present in the new disc, next to Claudio Zoli and other talented musicians. In addition to its success in lively evenings with a lot of sound and interactivity, the ever-increasing repertoire packs everything from corporate events to clients like GM and Volkswagen to SESI and SESC theaters all over Brazil.
